January 11, 2007   China’s Economic Growth and Challenges, illustrated talk by Dr. Sen Wang, economist with the Privy Council Office (on secondment from Natural Resources Canada, Victoria), at Library & Archives Canada

February 11, 2007, Year of the Pig  Banquet at Mandarin Ogilvie attended by 160 members and guests; the happy gathering heard remarks by Ambassador Lu Shumin, Senator Mac Harb, City of Gatineau Councillor Juan da Silva of the City of Gatineau, and Mayor of Ottawa representative Mr. David Gibbins; two gu-zheng players and CCFS musical talents Dominic D’Arcy and Georges Sapounidis provided musical entertainment; doorprizes were donated by the Chinese Embassy, Canada Post Corporation, Mandarin Ogilvie, Shanghai Restaurant, and CCFS members. Photo.
